Why Choose Aftermarket Fairing's
Aftermarket motorcycle fairing's are the perfect choice for replacing your motorbikes worn or damaged fairing's at a considerable saving over the cost of replacing your motorbikes genuine fairing's. Aftermarket fairing kits come with all holes predrilled, panels pre-painted and graphics applied. Fairing Solutions fairing kits, are supplied with all of the parts shown in the product detail pictures on our website.
Aftermarket fairing kits typically cost less than a third of the price of genuine fairing's and come ready to fit to your bike. Where its available to us the number of parts included sold with our fairing kits will be advertised in the fairing kits description.
Fairing kit descriptions include the following information where we have it available to us:
- Model - This is the model of bike the fairing kit was designed for.
- Year - These years, are the years that this fairing kit will fit for this model of bike. Often
fairing kits will fit onto a model of motorbike that's production spanned over a range of years.
- Details - Details will include the number of parts that come with the fairing kit and also
any other additional information about the fairing kits parts.
- Fits bikes - This will show the motorbikes model's that the fairing kit will fit onto. In some
cases the kit will fit more than one model of motorbike and that will be indicated here.
- Included Parts - All of the motorbikes main fairing panels will be included unless advertised
differently. The minimum is usually the front guard, top front cowling, left and right belly pans
and rear tail cowling. In most case's we also supply a free aftermarket screen with our fairing kits.
Most of our aftermarket fairing kits come supplied with all the inner fill panels that fill spaces on the insides of the fairing kit. These parts come unpainted and are often not the best fitting parts. We recommend that you use your original kits inner fill panels if you have them.
Fairing Solutions will not guarantee the fitment of inner fill panels as they are normally of a poor quality with very little attention paid to them. We will however put a free screen with every fairing kit we sell!
Durability and Types of Plastic
All the fairing kits we sell are produced using quality ABS plastic similar to what would have been used when your genuine OEM fairing kit was produced on the factory floor. The main reasons we produce our fairing kits from ABS plastic is because it's light, extremely durable and has elastic type qualities.
PVC Motorcycle Fairing's
Some older model Japanese motorbikes used to use PVC plastic in the manufacture of their fairing kits however due to weight and the fact that ABS plastic is more durable it's not used in the production of modern fairing's these days.
Often cheap aftermarket fairing manufacturers use PVC as a plastic of choice for their fairing's and this is done to lower the production cost of the end product. Fairing kit production companies producing these types of budget fairing kits are selling you a low quality item that's inferior to a good quality ABS fairing kit. Don't be fooled; cheaper is not better in these cases.
Construction & Quality
There are two main types of aftermarket fairing kit production techniques and these are injection moulded fairing kits and press moulded fairing kits. Each type of production process is quite different with the end products fit and finish being affected by the type of production process used.
Below is two examples of our injection moulded kits fitted to an Honda CBR1000RR & Suzuki GSXR750.
Below is two examples of our press moulded kits fitted to an Suzuki RGV250 & Honda VFR400.

Injection Moulded Sportsbike Fairing's
Injection moulding has been used by major industry for quite some time, however the aftermarket fairing market has only recently begun to utilize this technology due to the initial high tooling costs associated with it. The simple reason behind having a preference for injection molded motorbike fairing's is for the consistency and perfection in each fairing panel that's produced. Injection moulded fairing kits are produced in a moulding machine in the same way your motorbikes genuine fairing panels were produced when they were new.

Press Moulded Sportsbike Fairing's
Press moulding of motorbike fairing kits has also been around for many years with the majority of older and some late model aftermarket motorbike fairing's produced this way. It involves pressing a sheet of hot plastic under extreme pressure over a mould of the desired shape and then allowing the plastic to cool and harden to the desired shape.
The advantage to press moulded motorcycle fairing's is that they are a cost effective solution because they don't require the use of expensive injection molding machinery to manufacture. This means lower production costs and more affordable aftermarket fairing's can be produced and sold. The down side to press moulded aftermarket fairing kits is that they are not as easy to fit as injection moulded kits.
